Who are we?
The Finnish Psychotrauma Society is the society for those who in one way or another work with or do research on people affected by a traumatic incident in Finland.
The society aims to highlight the latest research on psychotraumatology. We also want to ensure that all practitioners in the field have access to internationally tested and recommended healthcare best practices and interventions. We annually arrange seminars and trainings on these topics.
The society sees the collaboration between Finnish organizations and actors within the area as central for reaching these goals.
We are affiliated with the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS), and collaborate with the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS).
